2017 Israel

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as our group traveled to the Holy Land. It was an incredible experience to visit Israel with our brothers and sisters from First Baptist and St. Edwards Catholic Church. Our 10 day pilgrimage took us all over Israel, from the Mediterranean Sea, to the Galilee, Dead Sea, and Jerusalem.
Over that time we walked in places were Jesus walked, we stood
on hillsides were Jesus preached, and touched the places where Jesus performed miracles. Words cannot fully capture the ways your faith becomes even more real and true when you visit these places.
The ability to touch and see the places where Jesus walked gives so much more meaning to
the stories in Scripture because you can visually imagine what it was like in those times; the hills Jesus traveled over, the jubilation of Palm Sunday, and the sorrow of Good Friday.

        All of these places
come to life when you visit. All of this made for an eye opening trip to the Holy Land, and most importantly it was God’s grace pouring into our lives in ways we had never imagined.

Blessings,
Rev. Jason Smith
