Shepherding our Angel Tree Families
I am looking for a few people who might be interested in calling 2 Angel Tree families a few times during the year to invite them to join us for VBS, our Easter egg hunt, Trunk or Treat, and maybe movie night if you think they may like to. They are families who live in Athens, and have elementary or pre-school age children. These will be families that did participate in our Angel Tree party this past December. Please contact me if you are willing to serve. Sandy Abadie Bus Drivers Needed If you have a CDL you can drive it; if you don't have a CDL, the church will help you obtain one. Call the church office if you can help in this way. (903-675-5161) Help Needed with Visitation We need people to help welcome our Sunday visitors the following week with a personal visit. The Food Pantry Needs a Few Good (Strong!) Men
Several men are needed to help unload at the Food Pantry on Thursdays and Fridays. It will only take 1.5 hours each day to get the food unloaded and into the building. We also need a couple of men with pickup trucks who can go to Tyler on Thursday to pick up food and to drive to Save-A-Lot in Athens on Friday. Please call Linda Horton if you can help with either of these tasks.

The Nurture Committee is in Need of Drivers
There are times when someone is needed to drive one of our members or friends to the doctor. The church can provide mileage reimbursement if it is needed. The Nurture Committee asks that you consider this “home mission” and call the church office to add your name to the list. So, when the need arises, we will have a list to draw from. |

The Methodist Singers
A group from our church gathers twice a month to sing at our area nursing homes. Nan Mann is the pianist.
The schedule is:
First Monday of each month - 10 am at Park Highland Nursing Center
Last Monday of each month - 10 am at Athens Helping Hands, Inc and 11 am at South Place Nursing Center
